Yesterday our skies in Auckland, New Zealand turned a dark orange and it felt like night time in the middle of the day. Everything was tinted in a strange hue, colours hard to distinguish in the sepia tones. The haze lasted from middayish to just before dusk. It was due to the devastating forest fires happening at the moment across ditch in Australia. It must be truly awful in the affected areas. Below are a couple of pictures I took at about 2pm – no filter.
