So many great ideas! I love recycling stuff around the home. Mainly because I’m too thrifty to let myself spend a lot of money on craft supplies. But this just goes to show that you can make awesome stuff with recycled materials! Thanks for sharing it!

I find it really satisfying making something out of what we already have or something I found for free. The other day we found a couple of old trellises sitting on the side of the road and yesterday we cut them in half, painted them yellow and now they are a rabbit proof fence for our vegetable garden. Proud as punch.

I’m addicted to making things, repurposing, recycling – I find myself hunting out projects to do all the time – looking at a colourful shirt and seeing a bag, doll, pillow, anything other than what it is…… I love the idea of your rabbit proof fence. I am an avid vege gardner too and I hope to have chickens one day – maybe this type of construction will work for them too. 🙂

It should keep out chickens if they aren’t the flying kind. Our rabbit is blind in both eyes and doesn’t jump to explore places. He will jump if he knows what he is jumping to (like onto the couch or up onto our bed). We figure if he summons up the courage to jump over the new fencing and into our vegetable garden, he’s earned the right to help himself to the fruits of our labour.
